Channel partners begin by joining the Microsoft Cloud Essentials Pack. Following this, companies move on to the Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Program.
Microsoft Cloud Partner companies may wish to combine this initiative with Microsoft Cloud Certification to gain specific technical expertise.
Microsoft Cloud Essentials Pack
The Microsoft Cloud Essentials Pack could be particularly useful for any partner company new to cloud computing. The pack has no annual fee and gives access to:
A dashboard to help manage customer trials of the cloud
The chance to take part in the marketing and sales on Microsoft Pinpoint of Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Program
For those channel partner companies that already have cloud customers, the Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Program can offer chances to boost revenue still further.
Channel partners must first subscribe to a Microsoft competency or Action Pack. They can then join the Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Program without paying an extra fee.
The program gives channel partners:
Up to 250 internal-use licenses
A listing in the Microsoft Office 365 marketplace
For a company planning to develop cloud services, or already working in this area, the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program does look as though it could provide good business opportunities.
