Cloud Connect Chicago Aims to Rewrite the Rules

Cloud Connect Chicago took place from September 10th to 13th at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. This follows three successful years in Silicon Valley under the name of Cloud Connect. The success of these early conferences has led to the event expanding, changing location, and adding a city to its name.

Conference Tracks

IT solution providers have had a wide range of cloud computing events to choose from in the past 12 months. The organizers of Cloud Connect Chicago were conscious of this and worked to make their agenda as comprehensive as possible.

This year's tracks included discussions about the latest cloud topics:

• How to ensure compliance and security for cloud solutions with new and current technologies

• The composition of private/hybrid cloud architectures, and the challenges of creating clouds that deliver the benefits businesses need

• The ways in which cloud computing is changing the IT value chain

• Next generation IT models and the skills organizations need to make these models work effectively

Delegates also could attend the following key sessions:

• The importance of architecture and design in cloud computing

• Making the best use of the cloud to handle data

• How the nature of business will change as more and more businesses embrace mobile devices and the consequent data portability
